DCJPCA Scholarship Information
   The Justice of the Peace and Constable's Association of Dallas County offers scholarships to eligible students pursuing an academic degree at a college or university. In addition to the Justice of the Peace and Constable's Association of Dallas scholarships, others may be made available through the generosity of individuals or other organizations. These funds are managed by the Justice of the Peace and Constable's Association of Dallas for award to qualified students. The scholarships will be awarded in the spring of each year.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS:
1.Applications must be submitted on the Justice of the Peace and Constable's Association of Dallas Application for Scholarship Form with all supporting information attached.
2.Applications must be received in the Justice of the Peace and Constable's Association of Dallas office by March 1 each year for the Fall Semester.
3.Only one application may be submitted. A new application must be submitted with current supporting information for each consideration.
4.Applicants are only eligible to receive one scholarship award per year.

JPCA REQUIREMENTS:
1.Must be enrolling in a College, University or Trade School in an academic course of study.
2.Must be less than 25 years of age at time of application.
3.Must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.
4.Must not have been convicted of a crime, which would make an individual ineligible for employment in his/her field of study.
5.Must submit with application a brief biographical sketch and narrative, written in the applicant's own words, stating why the applicant believes he/she is deserving of a scholarship award. May include personal accomplishments, activities and experiences and may not exceed two (2) typewritten, double spaced pages in length
6.Must be active in the community and show proof of community service.
7.Two letters of recommendation from the school presently attended and certified high school and/or college/trade school transcripts shall be submitted with the application.

SPECIFIC SCHOLARSHIPS & REQUIREMENTS:
   Justice of the Peace and Constable's Association of Dallas County Academic Scholarships You must be sponsored by a current member of The Justice of the Peace and Constable's Association of Dallas in order to receive this scholarship. Scholarship checks will be made payable to the college, university or trade school of the winner's choice only.
